The Ruins (2008)
Based upon the novel by Scott Smith ("A Simple Plan"), four American tourists on holiday in Mexico are detoured into the jungles in search of a fellow traveler's friend. There they discover a hill, once home to an archeological dig but now it's deserted and a haven for something truly evil.
